Ellen is presently a member of the English faculty at the Higher Colleges of Technology in the United Arab Emirates. She is a doctoral candidate in TESOL, cognate technology, at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and holds an MA in Leadership from McGill University. She has over 25 years experience with second language learners both as an educator and administrator in North America and the Middle East.

Vance Stevens has been a CALL coordinator, CALL software developer, CALL consultant, lecturer in computing, and most recently, English teacher at the UAE air college in Al Ain. He founded Webheads in Action in 1998 and has coordinated that community of practice ever since, including organizing three free international online teacher conferences. Anthony Cashin obtained his education degree in Australia prior to specialising in post-graduate studies in Educational Administration and Business Management. With twenty-eight years experience in education, Anthony has held senior management positions from very early in his career both in Australia and internationally. Recently, as director of Ajman Academy in the U.A.E., his focus has been on the integration of IT, specifically iPads, with the pedagogical delivery of the PYP curriculum. Anthony has vast training and experience in International School accreditation and has held a number of positions of responsibility for various regional educational organisations. |
Mary Kay has been a primary educator for over 30 years. She has taught in the US as well as Europe and the Middle East. She currently works at Raha International School in Abu Dhabi, UAE as a Deputy PYP Coordinator and ICT Integration Specialist. She was part of a team who piloted the first BYOD iPad class in primary school in the UAE in 2011 in a grade 5 classroom. Since then she has presented at both local and regional conferences about 21st century skills and ICT integration in teaching and learning. |
