Objectives, Schedule and Description of Sessions
Participants will:
Reflect on on how to integrate iPads / ICT in their educational settings.
Participate in a Google Community, developing a Professional Learning Community or Community of Practice This Google Community will provide an opportunity to get to know each other prior to the workshop.
The first part of this event was recorded as a Hangout on Air (HoA). Vance had set up a laptop PC to manage the stream and was walking around the room with an iPad that was participating in the event and recording video and audio. The hub PC was muted and Vance was using earbuds on the iPad to prevent remote participants in the HoA from intruding on the live session (but they could interact with Vance and Vance could interact with them sotto voce but that interaction appears in the recording). Surprisingly the bandwidth held out and the experiment worked in concept, though the next stage will clearly need to address managing the handheld iPad camera movement. If you get dizzy the recording is worth listening to.

Welcome
Introductions, statement of objectives for workshop, presentation of workshop schedule, brief discussion of framework, rationale, theory, and research underpinning workshop.
Review of the wiki and how information will be provided in each breakout session.
Formation of groups
Time will be provided for participants to form groups and introduce themselves, in a face-to-face environment, to each other..
Participants who may not have downloaded the applications for the workshop may download the necessary applications at this time. It is highly recommended to download the following apps prior to the workshop: EdPuzzle, audioboom, and Google Drive.
Sign up for an account for each of the following: EdPuzzle, audioboom, Kahoot and Gmail.
One presenter will be available to assist participants with this process.
You will have a more profitable experience during the workshop, if you create your own account for each of the apps before the workshop.
Make sure you record your username and password in a safe, easily retrievable place.

Anthony Cashin will speak via Skype from Australia on how to successfully implement iPads from an administrative point of view. There will be a brief question period at the end of his presentation.

Participants will rotate through four breakout sessions, where they will explore apps and project-based learning tasks through hands-on learning on one topic.
Presenters will adapt their session to the participants’ expertise and interest.

Breakout sessions will be held at tables and will be animated by one presenter.
Participants will be grouped according to expertise and interest in using ICT. Please make sure you complete the survey to ensure you are placed in a group that meets your needs.
